First run with the tunny fitted with the sounder and backrest. Easy launch, setup the rods and the sounder and trolled a 7" bass assassin which was left to troll or drift all session for no return.
Had 10lb spin outfit with me and cast the usual 4" pumpkinseed powerminnow while drifting. Initial drift too quick so I deployed the drogue. This quickly bought a couple of sbs to the side. Decided to let the drift go on to see what was beyond the mark. Bottom was all rock with patches of weed. A couple of missed hits and lots of dragging though the weed eventually brought reward in a snapper, about 1.5kg. Pulled stumps shortly after.
Was trolling the bass assassin back when I heard seagulls squawking behind me. Looked around and they were eyeing off my lure. Must have been a quiet morning on the surface. Retrieved it and paddled in.
EDIT: Just checked the bragmat. It has shrunk! Revised length of fish is 42cm. Bragmat is in the bin

That is a very pretty fish , and i do love those morning calls saying i got one , well done mate , getting regular at it now , that drift extension sounds interesting i am sure that will be getting some more investigation wasnt that where the last one came from , nicely done Dave
Good to see the new boat has done the deed with a reddie mate, and hope it is the first on many on the new rig.

Have you sourced a seat yet? Or are you borrowing the one from the P2

Sounder worked brilliantly. Good to get reliable water temps to. Confirmed that the in hull tranny does warm up due to heat of the day rather than water.
Using Matt's backrest at the moment. Needs a slight adjustment but its looking good
