Planned trip to Woolgoolga with DB was cancelled during the week due to the forecast high winds and seas. However, both were forecast to abate sometime today. I figured that the combination of heavy rainfall over the past few days and high seas might see some action around the lagoon entrances. Launched at bit before 2PM and headed up with an 11-18kt wind at my back. Wave buoy was reading 2.2m, most of it swell.
Got there but there was no clear demarcation of fresh and salt water so I just drifted for a while, using the paddle only to keep away from the break. Some fish showing on the sounder but none interested. Ended up about 5 km from launch
Headed into the wind and just slogged my way back. About a k from home the wind eased off.
Good news was that the rudder cables held firm. Took on a lot of water though

that cuttlefish looks repulsive and shows how ferocious they are when it was in a life death situation and all it could think about was eating your snapper ,,, yukkkkk ,,,, i wouldnt eat that Dave , looks too repulsive psyna
