Met kas and henry on the water, with a range of craft also out there. Even Phil turned up on an outrigger - he looked peculiar without a rod! Conditions were excellent but noone invited the fish. Trolled a stickbait, tried jigging in a bait school, trolled some more. Saw a couple of flying fish and plenty of spawning yakkas (maybe they were cowanyoung). Eventually went back to my usual drift and cast and scored a rat and a couple of sergeant bakers. Downsizing the plastic may have made the difference

Aloha Dave,as always good to catch up with you.... this time at Spot"A".
It will be the last time you see me out there on that outrigger without a rod.Took all 7.2m of it out for a spin and have come to the conclusion that this may well be the ultimate offshore fast stable trolling machine.Have fitted a nice heavy duty scotty rod holder to the rear Iako.
