Missed my chance to fish last week, but Henry got out for a trio of pannies. Out at first light this morning as the pattern has been for the fish to turn off early. Excellent conditions for drifting.
No waiting - first cast and I was on. Two kilo snapper that was a lot of fun on the light gear and gave me a lot of concern as it resisted the fish lifter. Had a really strong take without hookup later. After that the only interest was a seeming dead weight that took a fair bit of line only to let go after it had eaten the sp. Guessing that it was a cuttlefish.
Henry used bait and sps, getting another trio of pannies and losing a good fish when his leader parted
