Red in the morning

Sea was up yesterday, with a significant wave height of 3m. Barometer up today, around 1027. Light NW wind. Perfect, except that a substantial part of Sydney's population decided that today would be good for fishing.

OTOH, I was out there early. I got to see a couple of passing humpbacks and a very red sunrise, courtesy of the bushfires

Managed this red on the drift just as the hordes arrived in numbers - 51cm fork, 2.25kg

Isn't that fine collection of boats?

Paddled south after that to be far from the madding crowd, but was stymied by muttonbirds in their thousands and sacrificed an xrap to the reef

The confluence of sea and barometer has been fruitful this year
