Gravel ground

Not doing well trolling or casting for kings at the usual carpark so thought I'd head out to spot C++ and surrounds to see what I might find on the drift. Drifted a shad on the usual jighead on one outfit and a shad paternostered with a lucanus jig on the other. First drift saw some load on the latter rig, but it dopped off halfway up. Guessing some kind of cephalopod.

Third drift drew a take. Ordinary fight resulted in capture of a 60cm/2kg trag - a first. Nothing after that. Others got plenty of kings
