Do we need it? Another summer of the weekend circus. Pissing of boaters by sitting in their burley trail or trolling too close. Trolling across the drift of kayakers. Doing the Gatesy stretch. Relating the tales of their heroism. Alas, it will be back soon.

Out with davebeat and Henry yesterday arvo. Carpark was full so I parked in the trailer only section and launched before the others arrived. Current was running about 1kt from the north. Drifted using a range of plastics for a range of throwbacks and a solid reefing. Get back in and I'd been booked by the ranger. A letter is warranted to my local elected representatives - just got to find who they are!
