A gentle surf launch this afternoon with Kas. 2ft waves at Spot D. Kas, a first timer, got through on his BFS without problem after I'd done the same. The Evolution behaved itself quite well. There were no moments. As you can see from the photos, conditions were very good. Tried the usual casting and drifting without joy - a couple of pike pulled out of a large school and a sergeant baker that scoffed a drifted 7" shad. Finished off with a troll to and along the headland. Too many fishers along the waterline so unable to troll up a salmon or tailor. Finished off with a simple landing in 1ft surf at low tide. Unfortunately for Kas, he entered the surf zone at an angle and paid the price.
Forgot to mention, the Evolution drifted with the wind appreciably slower than the BFS. Another bonus when snapper fishing

Good stuff Dave, and Dave, it was a picture out there. Dave paddled around with Phil and Rod for 1 rat.
