Dave H and I met at the top of the track around 5:30. Walked down to the creek then followed the track along the creek looking for pools. Dave was the first to spot our quarry, but I got on the board first with my first ever bass, though at less than 20cm it was nothing to crow about.
Thereafter it was all Dave, catching 4 bass to 34cm. We eventually ran out of fishable water so took a track back up to the road and walked back to the cars.
Was certainly different to my normal style of fishing. Lost three lures to wayward casts and spent a lot of time bashing though bush, wading and negotiating slippery or crumbling banks. Good to know that the premier freshwater sport fish this side of the divide can still be found in the metro area

Dave a few Sergent Bakers out there and that is about all, there was a boat burlying up allot of rats. Headed in at around 9 and a Southerly was starting to pick up.
Well Dave , i'm glad you got a PB bass , but was secretely hoping for one about 30 cn so maybe you would get the freshwater bass bug , mind you had you caught one around 40 cms there would be no post from Bazzoo on here and i would have had a very severe dummy spit
