Not a legal snapper since April until yesterday. Sure, I've been experimenting with different colours, types and volumes of fibre, different eyes and even intermediate line. Some of the clousers didn't pass a simple sink and swim test while others just didn't attract fish.
So yesterday, it was back to basics. Same pattern as in January, except I left off the flash, and back to floating line. Result was two fish, one about 1kg and the other just over 2kg.
Seems odd that I hit on such a good pattern first up, though it was a natural evolution of my soft plastic and jig experiences with snapper. Will keep experimenting but will always have some orange and brown clousers handy
