Mack attack #2

Henry and I made the call to go for mackerel at Woopie despite a volatile forecast. School holidays would  take out the next three weekends so we took our chances. Arrived around lunch time on Saturday to a strong nor-east wind. Time to relax and rig for the morning

Easy launch next to the surf club had me heading for the mark while Henry got some yakkas. Southerly was about 7 knots. I drifted with the fly while casting plastics. Henry joined me on the drift. A huge strike had him headed for Coffs at a clip until his wire broke. It had come to the surface so guess is longtail. Next came a 80+ cm spotty and finally a snapper @ 2kg. Then the wind picked up and that was it. Tried in the afternoon and next morning without result. I didn't get a touch all weekend
