Vale taipan

Was rewarded for my persistence in drifting and abstinence in casting with four fish this morning. The better two, each a bit over one kilo, came on the larger lure. Good swell and current from the north played their part

Unfortunately, the lure on my taipan travel rod snagged while the line was wrapped around my legs and I was fighting a fish. Three pieces became four. It cost less than one hundred dollars quite some years ago and has caught me many fish. I'll miss it, at least until its replacement steps up
